Newton Box 3-363 91 Pickwick Road 12/20/09 : Fire in a 2.5 story wood frame at 91 Pickwick Road in West Newton. All occupants made it out of the house safely. Fire came in about 9:30 and took an hour to control.

Lt. Kevin Kelley Plaque Dedication 8/23/09 : On August 23, 2009, members of the Boston Fire Department as well as Firefighters from several cmmunities gather at Engine 37 and Ladder 26's station to pat tribute to Lt. Kevin Kelley. Kevin died in a tragic apparatus accident on January 9, 2009 when the brakes failed on Ladder 26. This was a moving and very fitting memorial for a dedicated Firefighter, Father and Husband. Rest in peace Kevin.

Boston Wires Down on Tractor Trailer 8/20/09 : Power lines were just a little bit too low for this Fed Ex truck at 2220 Centre Street in West Roxbury. Power was out in the neighborhood for a few hours including a nursing home right in front of the incident. It was one of the hottest days of the summer so A/C was au natural!

Brookline Auto/Pedestrian Accident 2/18/09 : Brookline Firefighters extricated a man trapped between 2 vehicles and his leg caught in a wheel well on February 18, 2009. Air bags, JAWS and other tools were employed and took approximately 30 minutes to free the victim. Due to the excellent work of Firefighters, Police Officers and Fallon Paramedics, the victim's leg was saved. Group 2 working Deputy Chief Rob Ward command.
