37 year old man from Boston robbed the Village Bank at 87 Wyman Street in Newton about 9:10am this morning. He burst in the bank with a Poland Spring water bottle filled with a green liquid, started spraying at customers and struck a teller. Tier 1 Haz Mat was declared and the teller and 2 paramedics were decontaminated at Newton Wellesley Hospital. Customers and other employees were isolated at the scene until the liquid was identified. It was determined to be non harmful but taken to the state lab in Jamaica Plain or further testing.
